OPPOSITION CAUCUS
CONFIDENCE IN LEADER WELLINGTON, August 2. The Opposition caucus was fully attended yesterday. It discussed the war situation, the Dominion war’ effort and its organisation and control, and related subjects. Messrs Hamilton and Coates reported on the work being done by the War Cabinet. The work of the session to date was also reviewed. , The caucus unanimously affirmed its previous decision to co-operate in the formation of a War Cabinet, and recorded its continued confidence in Mr Hamilton as the Leader of the National Party, following a strong denial of newspaper suggestions that there had been an attempt to replace Mr Hamilton.
