Armadale to Dock

TANKER’S DAMAGE NOT KNOWN

[Per Press Association] WELLINGTON, August 2. The Armadale is to go in the lloa - ing dock to-morrow morning, to enable the full extent of the damage to be ascertained. The ‘discharging of 11,000 tons ot motor spirit from the Ole Jacob is proceeding at Miramar. It will take five or six days, and until then an examination of the damage done to the ship cannot be carried out. AJ Departmental inquiry into the cause of the collision will be held early next week by the Superintendent of Mercantile Marine, at Wellington.
