GARAGE FIRE

HASTINGS, December 1.

Fed by large quantities of benzine and oil, a fire destroyed a large garage at the Omahu Shingle Company’s pit, near Hastings, to-day. The owner of the garage, Mr P. Lowe, was burned on th© arm, but his injuries are not serious. At th« time of the fire, a truck, motor car, and tractor were being repaired in the garage. The truck and car were pushed out,, but the tractor had to be left. It was stripped of everything that would burn.
