Wills introduced the business of the evening and pointed out the need for a new school. The old building, he said, had long outlived its usefulness and it was
imperative that something be done immediately. Plans had been prepared by the Trust Board and it was desired to make a start with the work as soon as possible. Mr. S. Burnett White, who was the next speaker outlined the scheme which the Organising Committee had formulated and also produced, plans for the approval of the meeting. A large amount of money, said Mr. White, would of course be necessary before the building could be completed and it would require the support and practical assistance of all members and adherents to raise the amount involved.
Messrs R. J. Williams and T. B. Baty also spoke stressing the need for a new school and supporting the scheme already outlined; they further spoke of the great influence •which this project would have on the church generally and asked for the earnest help of all friends. | Musical items were given by Mrs.] D. F. Mursell and Mr. O. R. Taylor and supper was dispensed by the Ladies’ Guild.
