ACCIDENT ON SHIP
LASCAR’S FALL IN ENGINE ROOM. I Per Press Association]. CHRISTCHURCH, August 17. Falling about fifteen feet in the engine room of the motor ship Myrtle bank, a Lascar, Assed Meah, a greaser, suffered head injuries, while the ship was at sea about three days ago. There was a heavy gale at the time. His injuries were dressed and a wireless call was sent out to have an ambulance ready at Lyttelton, where the vessel arrived at 5 p.m. today. The injured man was attended by Dr. C. H. Upham, Port Health Officer, and was admitted to Christchurch Hospital. His condition is not serious.
