HOCKEY
WEST COAST v. CANTERBURY. Owing to I. Burn not being available to travel to Christchurch. J. Weil' will replace him in the West Coast team to play in Christchurch on Saturday. L. Chapman selected as emergency is also unavailable and the two emergencies will now be J. Newton and J. Straker; The Canterbury hockey selector, Mr. W. H. Down, lias chosen the team to represent Canterbury. The match will be played at Hagley Park, No 8 ground, and will begin at 10 a.m. The game is being played in the morning to avoid clashing with the Rugby match between Canterbury and South Africa. The team is as follows: — Goal H, V. Rhind; backs, R. Shillito and J. Burke; half-backs, T, Browne, E. Parrott, and J, Lester; forwards, N. Bowden, M. Lohrey, C. Wright, E. B. Radcliffe, and A. Norman. Reserves: H. Barnhill, J. May, W. Cole, E. Pickup, and .T. Crimley.
