WEEK-END MATCHES. Perfect weather conditions prevailed at the week-end, when several club championships and the Dewar Cup matches were played at the Kaiata links. The greens and fairways were in perfect order reflecting great credit on the caretakei and greenkeeper, Mr. S. T. Fairhall. MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES. In the only match played in the first round of the senior men’s club championship, A. B. Beard took P. Warnes to the 19th, where Warnes won one up. Intermediate match resulted: — P. Goodbehere beat A. H. Ihle. J. .1. Thompson beat H. Hutchinson. C. McKechnie beat E. Warnes. D. Fogarty beat A. H. Miller. Junior matches in the first round resulted: —S. J. Davis beat C. Heaphy, A. Beck beat J. A. Mclnroe, W. Richmond beat S. McDonnell.

DEWAR CUP SERIES. The Dewar Cup competition was completed at the week-end, the result being a tie between J. E. A. McKeefry and S. A. N. Sullivan with a total of 13 down. These two players. will require to play off. The following are the results of the third round, and totals for the three rounds: — S. A. N. Sullivan S down, total 13 down. . ' J. E. A. McKeefry, 8 down total 13 down. J. J. Thompson, ail square, 14 down. S. J. Davis 3 down —18 down. L. Galbraith 1 up—2o down. L. O. Norton 8 down —21 down. J. E. Rundle 6 down—2l down. Plimmer 5 down —22 down. R. McSorily 6 down —23 down. B. W. Caulton 4 down —24 down. The winners of the bogey matches run in conjunction with the last round of the Dewar Cup were:— Senior B. Jones 1 up. Intermediate: J. J. Thompson all square. Juniors: L. Galbraith 5 down.

LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIPS. Matches played to date in the first round of me senior and junior ladies’ championships at Kaiata have resulted as follows: — Senior: Miss N. Tennent defeated Mrs. J. W. Hannan 5 and 4. Mrs. W. G. McKay defeated Mrs Duthie 2 and 1. The final between Mrs. McKay and Miss Tennent will be played on Saturday next. Junior: Mrs. McCarthy defeated Mrs. Casells 3 and 2. , Mrs. Wilkins defeated Mrs. Proyaf) 1 up. Mrs. Kitchingham defeated 'Mrs. A. Smith 2 and I.' Miss E. Moore defeated Miss C. Tennent 5 and 4. The junior match played at the week-end was won by Miss M. Hannan. The following were the best Cards returned:— Miss M. Hannan 88 —16—73. Miss C. Costello 86 —13—73. Miss L. Wallace 91—12—79. The novice match was won by Mrs Neville 72. Next best- cards returned were those of Misses Z Munson 79 and M. Herring 80.
