OIL MAGNATE DIES
MR. E. L. DEHENY. LOS ANGELES, September 8. The death occurred to-night after a long illness of Mr. Edward L. Deheny the Californian oil man. He was 79 years of age. TEAPOT DOME RECALLED LOS ANGELES, September 8. The late Mr. Deheny the oil millionaire, ■was as a petroleum operator one of those indicted in the year 1924 along with an ex United States Minister and others in connection with the oil lease scandals, including the Teapot Dome leases, in which the Administration of the late President Harding was concerned. Mr. Deheny was acquitted.
