Stars on Victoria Square on Saturday proved an all-round better combination than United and won their third successive game in the senior competition in convincing style. The home backs revealed splendid form at times and should develop into a strong attacking force. Ahern, at centre, was responsible foi some wonderful work and unquestionably is 'the bes’t inside man playing at present in Buller football. The visiting backs were crude and never looked dangerous.
