KILLED BY POLICEMAN

MAN IN A STORE. (Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.) SYDNEY, May 11. Albert Edgar, 30, was found in a store adjoining the Cobar Police Station, by Constable Woolworth. The constable flashed a light on Edgar, who it is stated, pointed to what appeared to bo a gun at Woolworth and H. Rankin, the owner of the store. The constable, thinking the man intended to shoot produced a gun and fired. The man leapt to his feet and ran into the street, where he col lapsed and died. He was found to be unarmed, and it is believed that a black ruler found in his possession was what appeared to be a gun.
