LONG BLIZZARD
At Little America (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received October 8 at 7 p.m.) LITTLE AMERICA, October 7. A blizard has assailed the community at Little America for three days. It is now 7 lifting, after depressing the barometer to the lowest level ever registered in this part of the Antarctic. A second tractor party is now preparing for a journey to Byrd’s winter base. This tractor will carry three thousand pounds of dog pemmican, which will be stored for the use of two sledging parties vflio are scheduled to depart soon to explore the Queen Maude range and the South Polar Plateau.
