WANT TARA AS CAPITAL. (Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.) DUBLIN. August 21. The Blue Shirts’ Congress passed a resolution in favour of the resto a tion of Tara as (he capital of the Irish nation, for functions such as the inauguration of the President and Governor General, and also suggested that a Palace of Victory should be built. HOSTILITY TO POLICE (Received August 22 at 8.40 p.m.) DUBLIN, August 21. The Blue Shirts’ Congress held a secret session and unanimously passed a resolution demanding the immediate disabandment of “the political body of Fianna Fail gunmen known as the Civic Guards’ Special Bran'ch, which is conducive to anarchy.” It was a special branch which, allegedly, fired at a crowd in Cork on August 13. Another resolution demanded that the Go vornment immediately transfer from Cork “police officers who prominently figured in the uncalled-for attacks oa unarmed citizens following the dastardly shooting on August 8.” The Congress a’so resolved that it favoured a continuance of efforts to establish a single Irish State enabling th e people to live under one Government, Republican or Afonarchial, as they may decide.
