SHIPPING DELAYED
GALES AT WELLINGTON WELLINGTON’. June 15. A heavy southi riy gale delayed the coastal shipping at Wellington ro-efay, the departure of three vessels being postponed until to-morrow —the Totara for New Plymouth th,* Kini for Greymouth, and (he Inaha f-or I’atca —being unable to sail. The liner Rotorua was delayed an b"iir this morning al. lhe Heads by the gale. On arrival, she had difficulty berthing at I’ipitea wharf. The Canadian cruiser also had difficulty berthing at the same wharf. Two motor tankers fhe I’ilpit Point,and New Zea la ml, were also affected. The The I’ilj‘it Point, which was to move to Burnham wharf, remained at Point Howard wharf, where the New Zen land was to berth. The latter, theref'are rt maim'd anchored. The Maui I’omare, which was taken this morning to Evans Bay t<> go O!| the slip, had to return to her berth She will go on the slip as soon as the weather abates.
