TRIBUTE TO JEWS
Ramsay MacDonald’s Speech (British Official Wireless). (Received June 8 at 10 p.m.) RUGBY, June 7. The Prime Minister, Mr Ramsay Donald, whim opening the Anglo-Pale-stine exhibition in London, paid a tribute to the great services which the Jewish people had rendered to the progress in science, art, and polities, and <• ivilisation genera Uy. Recalling his experiences during a visit to Palestine, he referred to the remarkable efforts of all classes in building a national home for the Jewish people, and agreed with Lord Reading, who presided, that the future of the people of Palestine depended on a right local understanding and co-operation between the Jews and the Arabs.
