WEST COAST UNION. EXECUTIVE AIEETING. The first Executive meeting of th? season was held last evening, there being present Alessrs A. Adam* (chair), J. Guy, T. Mclntosh, I. Steel, H. Steel. A. In reference to a primary school match with a Canterbury team this season, it was resolved to advise the Westland Sub-Union that this was in hand last season, but fell through owing to visits of school soccer teams from Canterbury t 0 the Coast last year, and the inability of arranging billeting, bus that there should be no difficulty in arranging a visit this season.

Cobden Domain Board wrote grant ing use of Cobden Doma'n for matcheron Saturdays, provided the fixtures ar., approved by a Committee set up by the Board. The W.C. Cricket Council wrote com plaining re the United Chib playing w football match during the cricket season, and it was resolved that the letter be handed to tht United Club for an explanation. Eleven players were admitted to the code on their signing the necessary Lui-m. Accounts amounting to £6 4; were passed for payment. A letter was received from tho Westland Sub-Union re the disqualification tor one year of C. Pfahlert (Kiwis) and asking that same be lifted. It was decided to ask thc Sub-Union tgive full particulars of lhe disquali fication and the reason for recommen ding the lifting of same. In reference to the five years’ disqualification of J. Griffiths, it was decided to advise the Sub-Union that at the end of la t season their letter on ‘.his was referr ed back, asking if J. Griffiths had been given the necessary notice for an appeal. but no .reply had been received to their communication. It was therefore decided that the whole matter b" opened up again, and that the SubUnion supply the above information and also full particulars re the disqualification. It was resolved to institute a sehooLcompetition of two grades of under 8 stone and 7 stone, o n April Ist. It was resolved that the previous status of a four.h grade player of 17 vears on the Ist April be raised to 18 years on Ist April. It was resolved that nominations for third and fourth grade competition be extended until next Tuesday evening, owing to the altera;ion or the age limit.

It was resolved that the President, Secretary and I. Steel constitute the Referees’ Appointment Board. It was resolved that Air J. T. Clarke be appointed officer in charge of com petition records. Referees’ Association. Tt was resolved to go into the matter of temporary stands right away, •nd to erect three bays of six tiers, capable of holding about. 150 person’, in the meantime. FIXTURES. Compe ition fixtures for next Saturday were drawn up as follows:— Seniors: —Magpies v United, A Ground Park at 3 p.m. (Air W. Williams, icferee); Brunner v Stars, Tay lorville, at 3 p.m. (Air Mclntosh): Kiwis v Blaketown at Hokitika at 3 p.m.. Juniors: —Kumara v Brunner at Ku mara, 3 p.m. (Air L. Dewe); Stars v United at 3 p.m., B. Ground Park (Air A. Jiamieson); Cobden v Blaketown at 1.30 p.m.. A Ground, Park (Mr A. Warne ).

Third grade. Cobden v United at 1.3,0. B. Grouild, Park (Air G. Nelson). Schools (8 stone limit): —-Tech B v Camerons, Tech A v Sta e. Schools (7 stone limit): —State A v Tech B, State B v Tech C. Ground? and referees for the schools games were left with the Schools Football Committee to attend to.
