Australian Visit. TEST MATCH AT AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, January 11. The Management Committee of the Auckland Cricket Association has decided to accept a test match at Auckland with the visiting Australian eleven, to be played as late in the season as could bp arranged, and after the Australian match if possible. January 24 and 25 were fixed as tentative dates to be submitted to the Wellington Association for a junior representative match against a Wellington team. It is reported that the receipts from the representative match against Otago were £305, and against Canterbury £407. STATUS OF MATCHES. LONDON, January 10. The Evening News says: It would be popular if the Marylebone and Australian Board of Control raised the matches to test status. Surely, they should be so regarded, seeing th? West Indies is permitted to join tie select test circle. It would also be .7 compliment to Australia, which has done much in a generous spirit to develop New Zealand cricket. KOKIRI V. NELSON CREEK.
