ASHBURTON PROGRAMME. The following programme has been •eceived from the Ashburton Athletic AssouintLn by the local Boxing- Association :— Tuesday, July 24th: — Pictures 8 p.m. 'Ab dnesday, 10 a.m., civic r< ception; 10.30 a.m. conference in Borough Chambers: S p.m., championships. Thursday —1 p.m., motor trip; 8 p.m., championhips; niter boxing, social hour and presentation of medals, and selection of South Island team. The Greymouth team to fight in the South Island championships at Ashburton next week, leaves this morning for Christchurch. Laurie O’Neill is unable to leave Greymouth this morning. He leaves next Tuesday for Christchurch. His opponent will be McPhail whom he knocked in the third round last year, and the bout is to come off on Thursday night, the last night of the championships.
