Two magnificent bronze palms, to be placed, on behalf of the French Government, on the grave of an unknown soldier in Australia and New Zealand respectively, liav;* been shipped aboard the dismantled French cruisers “Jules Michelet“ and “Victor Hugo,’’ which have sailed from Brest upon a world’s propaganda tour to spread French culture. The warships have been transformed. Instead of guns and turrets, the vessels throughout are furnished with French productions, such as silks, and laces, while the bulkheads are hung with the works of the best French, painters.
