WANGANUI VENTURE GOES AHEAD. October 12. The directors of the Wanganui Woollen Mills Companv have decided to ahead with the construction of the • mills. It is expected the machinery will i be in position inside a year. The plans ’ provide for a complete compact mill of between thirty-live ami forty looms. It is proposed t-o manufacture a type of goods not hitherto attempted in New Zealand. The general manager, Mr Porteous, is going to Engl:.-nd to order the plant an dengage foremen operators.
