INFLUENZA CASES.

♦ ON THE “CHATHAM” MORE ASHORE. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, October 12. Dr Hughes, the Medical Health Officer, states that out of fifteen cases of sickness on the Chatham since October 1, five are progressing towards convalescence. Seven are convalescent, and practically well. Three are completely recovered. There are no further cases. The Chatham went to quarantine this morning. All the men not required to work the ship were landed on Motuihi. Dr Hughes states that during the prej sent month, three cases of pneumonic I influenza have occurred in the city, and one in the country.
