STILLWATER BEAT BRUNNER. A cricket match was played on Sunday last at Taylorville, between Brunner and Stillwater, the latter proving the victors by .133 runs, the scores being 158 to 25. For Stillwater, P. Mullins topped the score, being stumped after making 65 runs. W. Mclntyre retired at 36. G. Gil*bert (captain) got 18 (not out). For Brunner, W. Curtain obtained the highest score, and through hard luck was caught after making 11 runs. C. Kennedy was caught after making 7 runs. The remaining seven runs were made by three other members of the team. I P. Mullins, G. Gilbert and AV. It is anticipated that a combined club from Kaiata and Omoto districts will shortly affiliate with the Cricket Association.

It is also expected that a club will be formed at Runanga, later to affiliate with the Association. Efforts last year in the mining town to form a club failed.
