U.S.A. TARIFF.
MEAT DUTIES RAISED. NEW YORK. June 27. The Senate Tariff Committee increased as follow the various meat and cattle duties fixed by the Hons-e: Cattle weighing 1050 lbs from cents to 2 cents a lb; cattle above 1050 lbs. from 2 to 3| cents. Sheep and goats are fixed at two dollars per head instead of one cent per pound as the House provided: fresh mutton is increased from 1} to 21. The changes were carried after a violent partisan debate in which the Democrats declared that the Food Bill of the American people would be increased by many billions of dollars yearly.
