BOXING.
The Runanga Boxing Tournament has been postponed. The tournament is to be run in aid of the Municipal Silver Band funds. Tt was intended that any surplus should go towards the expenses of the band at the Wellington contest, but the failure to raise sufficient funds for that purpose brought about the postponement. The tournament will be held on February 25. A Kumara lady has kindly donated a valuable gold medal for one of the special bouts. The proceeds of the tournament are now to go to the Band’s uniform fund.
