Settle the Land
(PER PRES3 ASSOCIATION.) Wanganui, January 26. An important meeting of the chamber of commerce, attended by representative business men, settlers and Maori chiefs, was held to-night and passed a resolution strongly urging the Government to proceed with the reading of the interior, but particularly in the the construction of tho Patapara road between Raetihi and Wanganui so as to permit of the speedy settlement- of the large Ohutu of 250,«00 acres.
