WRECK OF THE S S COMPANY'S STEAMER AUSTRALIA.
[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.! [BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH— COPYRIGHT.] Launceston, April 21. The Captain reports that the Australia is a total wreck, and is fast breaking up. There is no hope of saving anything. > The Australia, after striking, steamed eight miles, but made so much water that the Captain was compelled to beach her, The weather was fine. Captain Rogers stood at his post to the last. The crew acted cooly. The weather prevented communication by sea. The passengers have been housed in the ferry house and will be conveyed to Stanley overland.
