Christchurch, April 21. In consequence of the cable received from England, Mr G Stead has arranged to ship Multiform by the Ruahine leaving WeHington on May Ilth. Wellington, April 21. The Wellington directors of Sharland and Co, Ltd, in fche annual report; state they assumed office in November and found the affairs of the Auckland branch in an unsatisfactory position. A profit of L 1,852 was shown ab Wellington bufc a loss of L 1,291 afc Auckland. The Auckland management has now been reformed. The directors recommend writing down the Tauranga Acid Works from L3OOO to L 500; the patent rights fco Ll,loo ; and plant afc Auckland to Ll,loo. To do this it is proposed to reduce the capital by 5s per share leaving 15s fully paid up. Copland's jaw appeared fractured, as though from a fall. Among the passengers by the Mokoia from Sydney were Hon Best, Minister of Lands, and Trenwith, leader of bhe Labor party of Victoria, who have come to study the land and labor laws of New Zealand.'
