London, July 21. The Egyptian loan will be issued next week. Sir Drummond Wolfe will leave on his special mission to Egypt some time next week, The Gordon memorial funds amount to £21,00 C. It has been decided that the memorial will take the shape of a home for friendless boys, in memorian of Gordons' great work in rescuing children from the gutter. At an interview between the AgentsGeneral and Colonel Stanley, they intimated that the Government intended to retain clause 31 in the Federation Bill, omitting the abrogating provisions. It is expected that the Earl of Carnarvon will take an early opportunity of considering the memorials relative to the release of several Irish prisoners. Tlie Times, commenting on the matter, condemns the action of Lord Salisbury in truckling to Mr Parnell. July 22. The King of Abyssinia will probably send troops to relieve the beleaguered garrison at Kassala. : Colonel Ridgway, who succeded Sir Peter Lumsden on the Afghan frontier delimitation commission, has been invested with the order of Knight of the Star of India.
