[REUTER’S TELEGRAMS.] MELBOURNE, June 16. The Reform Bill. At a sitting of the conference of the joint committees of the Council and Assembly to-day, Mr Ramsay’s proposals for a possible compromise on the Reform question were agreed to, and a Bill embodying the same was introduced in the Legislative Assembly to-night. SYDNEY, June 16. Smallpox Rampant. Small pox is increasing in the city, two fresh cases of the disease having been reported to-day. Rigorous measures have been adopted to arrest the disease, and every precaution has been taken to prevent the spread of infection. Great alarm continues to be felt in the city generally. Shipping. Sailed —This afternoon, the City of New York, for Auckland.
