FASCIST COUP.
FOILED IN SPAIN (U.P.A. by Eiec. Tel. Copyright). MADRID, July 12. A group of well-armed Fascists attacked and occupied a radio transmitter station at Yalanc-ia, and broadcast the news of their coup, wmd.'-ng up with the cry. “Up Spain! Long Live Fascism!” The police ejected the Fascists and the staff re-occupied the building and broadcast the defeat of the Fascists. The Spanish national anthem was then played for 20 minutes u> reassure the country, while the population of the town demonstrated in tho streets against Fascism and set fire to several Rightist buildings.
