TENSE SITUATION

Geheral Zhftevis’ 4 Cabinet has resigned as a sequel to the. earlier resignation of four Ministers as a pr<> test against the authorities’ action in arresting several prominent people including ex-Premiers Trank off an'- 1 Gheorgieff who are being interned on the lonely island of St. Anastasia where there is only a lighthouse. M. Tsankoff and his various associates were interned because they have nut dissolved their party carded' the Social Popular movemnt, thereby viola, tint; the decree issued last year. M. Gheorgieff and others were arrested l'oi publishing allegations against M Zlatev and. other prominent people. It is expected that a military Cabinet wdl bo installed a s the Army Officers’‘ League is at present prominent in politics. The situation i s tense and troops are standing by in the event ol emergencies.
