Sir Bernard Spilsbury, giving evidence at the’ combined inquest on the logs ajv.i tor? o, said that there was a strong nresuinjttion that the remains belonged to the same body, which he believed to bo that of a healthy, strongly-birlt, fair-haired man. aged from 40 to o 0 years. Freckles at the back oi the neck indicated that much time had been spent in ithe open air. He added that he had discovered three 4-inch hairs, apparently a woman’s, lying on.the torso’s chest, which wan crushed after death. It was most unlikely that death occurred in a hospital. Inspector Donaldson, of Scotland Yard, said he believed that the crime was not connected with the Brighton trunk mystery No. 1 ; but investigations were continuing. The inquest war* adjourned-
