Joubert, this morning received a radio! message from the Monterey, which is due at Suva today: “’No-, thing, seen of the French yacht Kor riga.u©,” The Consul thereupon telephoned the Marine Department at Wellington, who advised that the Maui Pom aro had already been diverted by radio on the voyage from Nto© to Auckland to make a thorough search. Tho Consul states that the French Government, is greatly concerned. The owner of the yacht, Count de Gan ay. is a. director of Schneider and Co., (a French armament firm). The Consul is in constant communication -with Paris.
INQUIRIES FRUITLESS. NO DOUBT AS TO SUVA BEING DESTINATION. VPiess A s-ooef^ion AUCKLAND, April 9. No news had been received up to a late hour of .the, yacht Korrigane. Every possible inquiry is being made by M. Joubert, Consul for France!, in Auckland. There could he no doubt about Suva being the destination of the yacht, stated M. Joubert. Count de Ganay within a tew minutes of the vessel sailing from R.ussell, in making his farewell,s referred several times to his trip to Suva.
