DESTRUCTION OF DISEASED OR CONTACT PIGS WORK SHOULD BE ENDED TODAY SUSPICIOUS SYMPTOMS AT NAT NAT (Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 22. Only ono farm in tho affected -area at Joli'nsonville remained to be dealt with to-day, and tho Director-General of Agriculture, Dr. Rankes, said it was hoped to complete tho destruction of all diseased and contact pigs in that area to-day, or at the latest tomorrow . Following the discovery of two dead pigs on the foreshore of Point Howard, one of which was discovered to ho infected, a pig seen afloat from tli e Eastbourne ferry steamer has been secured, and is being oxamined. but Iho report is not yet- available. Symptoms of a suspicious nature -in a pig have been reported from Nai Nai, north of Lower Hutt, but the disease is not definitely proved to exist there.
