FARAIERS CONDEMN HILL. LOWER INTEREST RATE WANTED. (Press Association . HAAIJLTON. January 12. A resolution condemning the P>°sei’ve Bank Bill and urging the Government to reduce interest rates and import duties on necessities and means of production of British origin was carried at a mass meeting -of 15,00 farmers and citizens here lastevening. The speakers were Air. H. AI. Rush worth. AJ.P. Air. C. 4. Pailatie. general manager of flic New Zealand Dairy Company, and Air E. H. Anderson, chairman of the Cambridge Co-operative Dairy Company. A resolution also was passed urging a full and open inquiry into the existing monetary system and an Jny‘4stiga.ti.on into the proposal to establish and maintain a system m direct ratio to the exportable produce of the Dominion.
