SOUTHLAND COAL MINES
(Press Association.l
INVERCARGILL, Jan. 6.
Although the Southland Coal Owners Association will have the Linton, Wairakci, Mossbank and Black Diamond mines open for work on Monday, it is considered unlikely that the * striking miners will take advantage of the opportunity to enter the pits. The men are holding -another meeting on Sunday, but. it is believed that the outcome will not affect the present situation, as far as commencing work on Monday is concerned.
