GISBORNE CLUB
The committee of the Gisborne Amateur Athletic and Harrier Clubmet last evening. Present, Mr W. Jenkins (in the chair), and Messrs O. Thorpe, F. C. Sutcliffe, A. C Swan, F. Algie, J. Mercer, A. Hart, G. A. Remnant, and J. N. Fraser (hen see.) 'A letter was received from the Napier Amateur Athlete Club inquir-ing-as to the date of the Gisborne Club's visit to compete for the Dinwiddie Shield. The letter was held over meantime until information ha° been received from the Napier subcentre regarding ’ the _ date of the sub-centre championships* A letter was received from Dr. Rice accepting the positions of vicepresident and .honorary surgeon, but stating that he would be unable to accept the position as judge, and forwarding a donation of £1 _ls. The letter was received and it was decided to forward a letter of thanks to the donor. It was decided to hold the evening meeting on Thursday next, at 5.30 oclock. It was resolved to commence the teams relay race on Thursday evening. the following two teams to compete: Corinthians team, B. Aislabie. S. Shanks, F. Martin, O t F. Paltridge; Waikanae House team, T. Corkery, H. R. Fisken, A. Lockett. A. Owen.
