The outstanding feature of the afternoon was a new amateur record by N. H. Bull, who went round in 72, five strokes better than bogey. In the A tournament, W. Fisher beat R. Halbert 2 and 1, W. H. Irvine beat W. llangi 2 and 1, J. H Bull beat J. AY. Barns-Graham z aud 1, B. S. Bree beat E. M. Hutchinson 1 up, G. FI. Bull beat F. V Carpenter 6 and 5, N. H. Bull beat C. O. Hansen o'and 3 In the B tourney, H. W. Barker beat Dr Brown 6 and 5. T. Moffatt Ueat J. Jolly at the 19th, AY. Blathwayt beat R. H. Martin 2 and 1, W. Irwin beat K. Stout 3 and 2, K. B. Watt#beat N. H. Hudson 5 and 4. CANADIAN FOURSOME For players who were not competing in the tournaments, a Canadian foursome was played and resulted in a win for J. R. Jones- and E. Jenkinson, 5 up. IV. FI, Irvine and RW. Edwards filled second place with 3 up, and the following pairs were : L. Balfour and F. Brabant 2 up, A. G. Lancaster and AV. .R. Beattie 2 up, E. Ross and A. H. Collett 1 up, R. Dobson and FI. D. Anderson all square, I. Smith and F. Allison a downN ENT SAT URDA Y’ S PL AV. Next Saturday a bogey match will be played for those not participating in the tournaments. It is pointed out that player's still in the latter must speed up their games and get them decided at an.early date as, with .the ..closing day Saturday week, there is little time left for the events to be finally decided.
