“MISCARRIED.”
RAMSAY MacDONALD’S PROTEST COMPLAINT ABOUT A POLICE REPORT United Press Assn, by El. Tel. Copyright (Australian Press Assn.) (Received Oct. 7, 5.5 p.m,) LONDON, Oct. 6. Tlie Daily Express understands that Mr Ramsay MacDonald has protested to the Home Office re specting the publication of what is described as a “secret , asd confidential police report on his own activities between 1916/21.” Editorially, tho Daily Express states:— “If it is merely thought, to repeat the incident of the Zinoviefr letter plot, it has completely miscarried. There must always be a black mark against Mr MacDonand’s name that he gave comfortto the enemy instead of his own country. But, let us keep the coming election clear from personalities, red herrings and “Red” letters.”
