AUSTRALIA’S AIR FORGE United Press Assn, by El. Tel. Copyrien: (Australian Press Association 1 (Received Oct. 7, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 7. Sir John Salmond’s report on the Australian Air Force states that the force is useless for war, owing to its obsolete machines, the absence of reserve equipment and the low standard of training among the operational units. The replacement of the equipment is overdue. Recommendations are submitted for the development of the Air Force, the cost of which will be £1,139,000 per annum compared with £531,003 at present.
