POULTRY ASSN.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A committee meeting; of the P.B. Poultry, Pigeon, and Cage Bird Association was presided over by Mr 0. V. Church, and was well attended. Adverse comment was made 9xl the fact that the publication entitled “N.Z. Poultry Journal,” and generally looked upon as the official journal of the N.Z. Poultry Association, was now printed in Melbourne and that the contents now were almost wholly Australian. It was de--eided to take the matter up with the parent body. It was l-esolved to draw the North Island Poultry Association’s attention to thej fact that Mr. W. Hadwen’s name had been 1 omitted from the official judges’ list and that Mr K. A. Poswillo’s name was showing in the Utility section only, instead ot' with the Utility und Fancy poultry sections. Mr Jas. Johnson, of Gisborne, was appointed to judge the canary classes and Mr AV!. B. McKenzie, of Wellington, was selected to judge all pigeon classes. Mr McKenzie, who has officiated in Gisborne on former occasions, is well and favourably known throughout the Dominion, and local pigeon fanciers consider themselves fortunate in securing the services of such a competent judge. No doubt, iriany of the old fanciers, still harbour happy recollections of past visits of this gentleman.
