NO EXECUTIONS
- POSITION IX BULGARIA
J XTERESTIXG OFFICIAL STATEMENT. (Received Mav 3, 5 5 p.m.) LONDON, May 2. _ The Bulgarian Legation at London lias issued a communique denying Capt. Wedgwood's statements. The document states that the persons arrested throughout Bulgaria do not exceed two thousand, of whom six hundred have been liberated. None have yet been tried, still less executed. Regret is expressed that Captain Wedgwood and his friends spent only three days at Sufit. If they had remained longer they would have learned that the rumors to which they have given credence had no foundation in fact. The Agraro Communist conspiracy did not come from the. constitutional Opposition. The latter including Socialists, Democrats and Liberals, enjoy full political liberties and a free press.
