CRIMINAL SESSIONS
WELLINGTON, May ?. At t-lio Supreme Court, Arthur Henry Archer was found not guilty on a charge of carml knowledge ot a, girl under, the age of 16. Accused, being under the age of 21 years, set up the defence that he had reasonable cause to believe that the girl was over 16.
CREAM TEST CASES. PALMERSTON N., May 7. In tlie case Alfred Wright and Henry Simpson, charged-with conspiracy to ■ defraud a dairy company by faked cream tests, the jury found a verdict of not guilty and both were discharged. - , Simpson,' with three other "farmers who admitted their guilt, will be sentenced in respect of these cases tomorrow.—P.A.
