IN BLAZING HEDGE.
WIFE BURNED TO DEATH IN HUSBAND’S SIGHT.
Mrs Henrietta Holden, aged 43, wife of a chauffeur employed by Miss Hurley, of Fairfield, Longcross, near Ohertsey, • Surrey, was burned to death.
Her husband, who lives in a cottage in the grounds of Fairfield, was engaged iu burning the long grass in the pacLdoclc wine n an adjoining liedge caught alight. Hearing screams, Mr Holden rushed through the flames and found his wife in the hedge in flames. 'He was unable to pull her out as her leg had become caught in some stranded wire, and she was burned to death before Iris eyes.
