PREMIER WANTS HOUSE TO ADJOURN NEXT MONTH. (Received July 25. 8.05 p.m.) LONDON, July 35. Mr. Baldwin, in the Commons, said he hoped the House •would adjourn on August 2 till November 13. TO EXTEND AT FIRST ONLY TO EGYPT. (Received Julv 25. 10.-15 p.m.) LONDON, July 24. The Morning Post understands that a scheme, to which Cabinet lias assented, shows a slight modification from Col. Burney’s experimental stage and will extend only to Egypt. If the proposition promises commercial possibilities it will lie extended to India and afterwards to Australia.
