TURKISH ELECTIONS,
EASY VICTORY FOR government ANTICIPATED.
CONSTANTINOPLE. April 15. The elections seems likely to result in a complete walk-over for the Government candidates. So far not a single Opposition candidate has appeared. On the contrary the People's party is overwhelmed with applications bv would-be candidates, many belonging; to the late opposition, also the Party of Union and Progress, but the Government is taking no chances, especially at Constantinople, which is considered susooct; oousooucntlv all leading Nationalists, including Mustapha Kemal, are standing at Constantinople in order to prevent Unionists scoring there. —A. and N.Z.C.A.
