The Princess’s . other gowns include a cornflour blue crepe cle chine afternoon dress, a wild rose pink georgette evening, -gown, a white crepe dc chine evening gown, and a black georgette dinner dress. Everything is simple without exaggeration anywhere. The pieces de resistance are the tea gowns, which will not hear comparison with the tea gowns of last year, but are intensely graceful. The pick of the collection is a sleeveless sweet pea gown, which the Queen chose. It is of chiffon, in soft mauve-pink over blue, and has a novel hip-band of pleated, chiffon, on which are three huge velvet begonia blossoms —mauve, pink, and blue. The trousseau also includes several knitted jumpers.
