‘HOSPITALS FILLED WITH DISEASED CHILDREN. 1
CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 21. ■ General conditions in Vienna are most appalling. Dr Will, formerly of Christchurch, wrote on December 30 to the' secretary of the Canterbury Hospital Board, stated: “The people are nearly starving and hospitals filled with children with all sorts of weird bone conditions, the result of malnutrition. Dr Spitz, the greatest Continental orthopadic surgeon, says we have no conception how bad it really is.”—P.A.
