BROADER POWERS URGED
(Received July 27, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON. July 26. Mr Harding ’ sent a message requesting Congress to broaden the powers of the -War Finance Corporation, enabling it to buy railway securities now held by the Director of Railroads, so that funds may he available to settle debts to the railroads without Treasury appropriations, also so that the Corporation may attend to financial relief to farmers.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
