PALMERSTON N., Dec 20. .b At the inquest on tlie body hi John S. Margurk, of Wellington, killed, by .a fall from a motor-cycle, on December 14 near Palmeyston North, a verdict was returned oi death from injuries received.
BOY DROWNED
INVERCARGILL,’ Dec 20.
P. Joyce, aged 12 years, was drowned in the Aparima river, while bathing. When the body was found there "was a mark across the forehead. It is surmised that deceased struck a rock when diving in shallow water.
FATAL FALL FROM SCAFFOLD
DUNEDIN, Dec. 20. William Roberts, .married, sixty years of ’iage, fell from., a. scafiold .while wheeling debris a distance of ten feet. No one saw hint fall, but he was found lying on the footpath along with the barrow, in an unconscious condition rind • had a cub on the side of his head. Roberts died while on the way to hospital.— Press Assn. - .
