SHORTAGE OF COAL.
AUCKLAND’S FISH SUPPLIES MAY ( SUFFER.
Press Association Telegram. AUCKLAND, Dec. 2.
Another serious crisis lias arisen in connection with the supply of coal for essential industries in Auckland. Stocks are low in many cases, and great difficulty was experienced in securing sufficient supplies to enable trawlers to put to sea this trip. Unless further supplies are obtained the vessels may have to remain in port, with the result that Auckland’s fish supply will suffer a considerable curtailment.
